Hi there!

My name is Arun Frey. I'm a research scientist and sociologist, and I care about leveraging data for social impact. Currently, I'm a data scientist at The Regulation, Evaluation, and Governance Lab (RegLab) at Stanford University, where I develop machine learning solutions to modernise government processes. Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. In my research, I develop computational methods to study technology, inequality, and social change. My work has been published in PNAS, Nature Communications, AAAI-24, and other journals. It's been covered by outlets such as The New York Times, The Economist, The BBC and was awarded with the 2021 National Academy of Sciences Cozzarelli Prize.
